When GPT 5.5 flags your chat for possible cybersecurity risk – you can ask it to help you out.

You participate at a National Security Hackathon and want to fine-tune a network to analyze binary machine code. Then, on the third fine-tune your session gets flagged as possible cybersecurity risk. Codex interrupts the progress… until you ask the right question.

(Above three pages of screenshots were cut for relevance. The sequence was preserved.)

And work continued. Now I wonder would the work have continued without the responsible use annotations? Would the session have been flagged if I thought of putting the responsible use paragraphs there in the first place? Anyways, still fine-tuning now.

I tried accessing the “Trusted Access for Cyber” program, but it told me I am not eligible. Then, I found a link to fill out a form, which looked like it would take a while.
